Have you read this Book?
As you read the book, you will discover short stories of the early Indo-Canadians and some of those who came later. But this book portrays the trials and tribulations of early Indo-Canadians in making Canada home and establishing the Indo-Canadian community at large and various community institutions. The stories of a few Indo-Canadians cited in this book also demonstrate their significant contributions to Canada and many accomplishments to their credit.
The authors have really painted a landscape of how the Indo-Canadian community in Ottawa has grown from three earliest immigrants to some 30,000 Indo-Canadians as of the 2016 Census. Our rich, diverse and vibrant Indo-Canadian community is really shaped by its institutions — associations, cultural and social organizations, schools and community centres.
